 Returns & Exchange Policy (Within India)

We always try to ensure that you love our products as much as we love them. In case you have changed your mind or did not like what you purchased; you can exchange/ return the product. Please review the following eligibility criteria and policies before initiating the exchange/return request.

Eligibility for Exchange/ Return

  • Item should be unworn, unused, unwashed, unaltered, undamaged and should retain the original tags.
  • Exchange/ Return request needs to be raised within 72 hours from the time of delivery.
  • We do not accept returns or exchanges for customized products.

  • We do not accept returns or exchanges for products explicitly marked as ineligible for return/exchange.

Return and Exchange Process

  • Inform: Please send an email to support@chikankalakaari.com with subject “Order Number + Return” within 72 hours from the time you receive your product. 

  • Return: Once you receive return request approval, you need to ship us the products you wish to exchange/return with all the original packaging and tags. The product(s) should be shipped back to us within 5 days from the day we approve your exchange/return request. Please note that Exchange/Return Shipping Charges are to be borne by the customer. Please share the tracking details with us once the product(s) shipped. Please let us know if you would like us to arrange a reverse pickup for you.  Please note that we will not be able to accept exchange/return if the product(s) is damaged/ used or shipped without its original packaging and tags. 

  • Refund: Once we receive your package, we will inform you within 24-48 hours about the receipt. Upon quality check, we will calculate the applicable exchange/refund as per our Refund Policy.

Refund Policy

  • Refund is given in the form of STORE CREDIT only. 
  • The issued store credit will not have an expiration date, allowing you the flexibility to use it at your convenience.
  • Store credit will be issued for the product cost only, excluding any shipping fees.

Damaged Product Received:

In case of a defect in the product, please do following:

  • Inform Us: Inform us within 72 hours from the time of delivery by sending us an email at support@chikankalakaari.com. Please attach clear parcel opening videos and pictures. Our team will respond to you within 48 hours.
  • Reverse Pick up: We will arrange a reverse pickup for your product at no extra cost, and the same will be attempted within 24 hours after confirmation. We will request you to keep the products ready for pickup, failure to do so we lead to cancellation of pick up and you will be required to ship the product back to us by bearing the shipping charges. 
  • Resolution: Once the reverse pickup is successful, we will dispatch a replacement package for your damaged product depending upon the availability of the same or shall issue you a full refund coupon code worth the value of the product for your next purchase.

Please note that any item is eligible for a return/exchange only once.

Cancellation Policy

  • Orders once placed on our website are only eligible for cancellation until they are shipped from our warehouse.
  • For COD orders, we will call you for order confirmation before shipping.
  • Prepaid orders cancelled before shipping will be refunded as per customers choice of receiving a refund-coupon-code or refund in your original payment mode. (5% deduction as Payment Gateway charges)

Applicable Deductions

  • Total of ₹200 towards the non-acceptance of prepaid orders will be deducted towards the forward and reverse shipment of the order being shipped back to our warehouse.
  • Any refund coupon code of the previous order, if applied to a new order and not accepted by you, will lead to expiry of the coupon code and cannot be used again. Please ensure COD / prepaid orders placed using coupon codes are accepted by you.
  • For any online prepaid transactions, where the amount is deducted from your card/wallet and the order confirmation is not received, contact us before you place another order. We will confirm if your transaction was captured. In case, a new order is placed before confirming with us, 5% of the payment gateway charges will be deducted from the transaction amount before refund.
  • For orders where the shipping charges were waived off, as part of any offer, ₹100 towards the shipping from our warehouse to the customer will be deducted while processing refund coupon codes.


Change in Size/Delivery Address/Phone Number

If you’d like to make changes to existing details in the order such as your size, delivery address or phone number, please reach us at support@chikankalakaari.com with the subject “Order Number + Revised information”. We will facilitate the same if it hasn't been shipped.

General Instructions for Returns/ Exchanges in Chikankari products

  • We shall not be deemed for exchange for any small issues such as thread underneath the reversible side. Since in Chikankari embroidery threads are slightly long and are not cut too short to ensure that embroidery is protected.

  • The product is hand embroidered and may have slight dissimilarities that are a natural outcome of human involvement in the process. Such minor variations of stitches/motifs/ threads will not be liable under the exchange policy.

  • Every piece is unique and one of a kind made by human hands only for you, so please excuse the minor variations. Thank you for your understanding!
